The city in the background is a big, intricate model including a wall in the distance. This scene is always fun to watch. It must have taken some time to build all of that. There are even stars in the night sky.

I just discovered that there is a German DVD for Gold for the Caesars. The U.S. copy is a MOD disc, burned not pressed. Do you have the German edition and is it better quality? I keep hoping for a Blu-ray release.
The German DVD is identical quality wise to the US copy.
