Mars (Roger Browne) is seduced by 'Venus' (Jackie Lane) in MARS - GOD OF WAR (1962)
A totally different PEPLUM movie directed by Marcello Baldi, not to be confused with Ferdinando Baldi, who directed DAVID AND GOLIATH (1960) and a slew of other PEPLUM productions. The pacing and style of this movie is unlike any other even though all the usual elements of the genre are present. This scene is like a reverie of sorts, with Venus being a figment of his imagination. Notice the lightning bolt at Roger's ankle, a 'prize' everyone wants to get a hold of. I like it. It has a lot of charm.
