On the right, the woman doesn't look much like Jean Simmons and Kirk looks more like Alan Ladd (the main figure does look like Kirk) but overall the artwork is great.
the 2015 movie "Trumbo" presents an entertaining, but I'm also sure romanticized, account of the behind-the-scenes struggle for Kirk Douglas trying to get "Spartacus" made the way he felt it should be made. Kubrik's role in the production is very much downplayed. Dean O'Gorman is a surprisingly effective Kirk Douglas.
ReplyDeleteSPARTACUS is not perfect, but it is the best Peplum movie of all in my view.
