Though Hercules In the Haunted World is beautifully shot, it also feels like a missed opportunity to me. I've always felt that the underworld scenes are lacking -it's a very sparsely populated hell! Few people, fewer monsters, no real horrors. On the other hand Hercules and the Captive Women delivers all the way through. It's one of my all-time peplum faves, with its exciting plot and action, as well as mythic feel.

As much as I like Hercules and the Haunted World, I think Hercules and the Captive Women is a better film, so I'm going with that.
Without a doubt, Hercules and the Captive Women. I met Reg at his son's gym in Los Angeles many years ago and he said it was his favorite too.
With that beefy body, I’m very disappointed that he was not given wrestling scenes in any of his peplum.. shame shame shame!

Hercules and the Captive Women is my #1 choice, but Hercules at the Center of the Earth is a very close #2.

In Hercules in the haunted world he was allowed to keep the nice fur on him chest, a bit shot shaved but visible.
