This is one of those PEPLUM movies I can't upload to PEPLUM TV (for now). It's a shame because it's a 'perfect' PEP : it has every cliché, it's very colourful, therefore entertaining. Park only made 5 movies. Wandisa was a regular actress of the PEPLUM genre. Oh well...

Once Fazira turns Maciste into a mindless zombie, it's a little hard to believe that she doesn't make him her lover. (There are plenty of MEN who wouldn't have been able to resist that temptation!). Of course that wouldn't have given him the chance to flex his incredible muscles by lifting boulders and swinging a pickax in the mines. Also: if the other slaves in the mines know that removing Maciste's ankle band will return him to normal, why don't THEY remove it, and enlist him as an ally? At the very beginning of his servitude, one of them even says, "He could sweep all these guards aside with one hand."
