Lang Jeffries is captured in REVOLT OF THE SLAVES (1960)
I finally got a beautiful copy of this film in widescreen, as it was meant to be seen. This film is one of the best looking films of the PEPLUM genre. Top quality. Canadian Lang Jeffries was good but his acting style was stiff, even by genre standards. This film is often dismissed as a poor man's version of QUO VADIS but it's not. It's more like an updated version of FABIOLA (1949). That's Van Aikens in the foreground.

I agree that REVOLT OF THE SLAVES is a first class peplum, despite the rather stiff performance of Lang Jeffries.
Imagine how great this film would have been with Steve Reeves in the leading male role!
I also have a very good copy of this movie from Amazon Prime and was really surprised at how pristine it is. I have this movie on my Watchlist and it didn't cost a penny. I also have BRENNUS ENEMY OF ROME on my list and it's also very good copy. They had a totally remastered version of CAESAR THE CONQUEROR uncut and in HD. That's a very big step up from that domain crap. The problem was I had to rent it for a week, but I watched it several times. Eventually it will be for free, but I couldn't wait. I always tell Amazon when I write any reviews to keep searching for more PEPS that have been remastered.
I've been looking for this movie for a very long time. From where can I get it. Please answer.
