Brigitte Nielsen, as Red Sonja, and Arnold Schwarzenegger in RED SONJA
Can you feel the heat? Not really. This bloated film from the mid-1980s was directed by Richard Fleischer, who also directed CONAN THE DESTROYER. This was one of the director's last films. Fleischer also directed such films as THE VIKINGS and 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA. This film is not that different than the super cheap Italian films made in the 1980s but with a bigger budget.
Not a big fan of it.

For some reason this film was renamed "Revenge of the Barbarians" in my native Sweden. I agree that it's a pretty dreadful movie, but I do like the cinematography by Giuseppe Rotunno. But the plot is just travel-stop and fight-travel-stop and fight... Apparently Schwarzenegger's character was originally going to be Conan, but for some entangled copyright issues he had to be reincarnated as Kalidor instead; Conan, in all but name. All the swords in this film were cast in fiberglass, and were later re-used, somewhat battered, in the Miles O'Keefe vehicle "The Iron Master", aka "Ator III".
