The Blu Ray of THE ROBE is absolutely stunning ... tremendous attention to color and detail. Scene after scene is dazzling and the breathtaking Alfred Newman music score is almost continuous in uncompressed digital sound (you can select score only while watching). The scene in which Marcellus Gallio (Burton) takes the night ship to Palestine, leaving Diana (Jean Simmons) on the wharf, now is so moving my eyes still water-up.
Many movies now are being transferred from DVD to Blu Ray without any work being done on them, but THE ROBE is not one of them.
Thanks for posting.
