PEPLUM Cliché : Baths / Saunas

A real PEPLUM genre cliché : scenes taking place in baths / saunas. They are regular in films of the genre. In fact, big important scenes often occur in such settings. It's also a great showcase for  Cheesecake or Beefcake moments. This cliché differs from the equally popular 'Bathing Beauty' or 'Bathing Beefcake' which shows one person taking a bath, indoors or outdoors.

  1. The naked stranger walking past Frankie Howerd in the last pic is none other than Dave 'Darth Vader' Prowse, who guested in a number of UK tv comedies in the 1970s. I remember the episode. Howerd turns directly to camera and, with a customary raising of those expressive eyebrows, declares 'All men are NOT created equal!'
