I uploaded this 'Feat of Strength' from Maciste in the Land of the Cyclops starring Gordon Mitchell, Paul Wynter and Dante DiPaolo. Great 'Feat of Strength' moment. It didn't make it in the top '
30 Greatest Moments of PEPLUM Cinema' but it almost made it. Dante makes a great villain. Paul should have being one of the pullers. Now that would have been hard.

Gordon's Maciste was always portrayed as pressure under silence, or silence under pressure, if you will. His arms were perfect for this test, and it always was his character as a situation where he was just doing the task (like with the giant wine jug) just to see if he could do it at all, enjoying the challenge and the sweat, but if he met his match (which he never did, I guess) it was okay, too. I think another ten men on each side, or Paul, as you say, on one side by himself, would have been his match. It's too bad the evil guy didn't have a chance to invent other tests of strength. Just imagine what they might have been.
