If you watch a lot of PEPLUM films like I do you sorta start seeing a pattern or style which is present in most films of the genre even though the films had different actors and/or directors. What's the underlying thread which binds all of these films together which created the PEPLUM genre? Well one has to look no further than screenwriter Ennio De Concini who wrote, co-wrote and provided stories for nearly all of the major films of the era. Below is just part of the 168 titles he worked on. It's quite an achievement.
