Photo of the Day

Stephen Boyd is about to wake up Sophia Loren in THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE

This is where the film's $19 million budget went. Look at the detailing. This is real stuff, not CGI.

  1. The detail for this movie was outstanding. The Roman Forum it self was magnificent, and correct me if I'm wrong they used some of the buildings that they erected on the site of the Forum as not just fronting, but also had a lot of interior scenes filmed inside of them. After watching the movie on many occasions I watched the extras on the DVD and though some things were flawed they still did a great job filming the movie. It's ashame it didn't do better at the Box Office.

  2. They did a great job with filming it but I thought the script did the film in. The first hour is really long but once they're in Rome things become lively and spectacular.
