Pricey PEP books
Why are books about the subject of Sword & Sandal films so expensive? It's a truly bizarre thing. I have WITH FIRE AND SWORD (yes, I paid $99 for it), EPIC FILMS and LASH! I've already reviewed LASH! Suffice it to say though WITH FIRE AND SWORD is NOT worth $99.

They are expensive because they are intended as textbooks in university level cinema classes. When it comes to higher education anything goes.
WITH FIRE AND SWORD is flawed but a good read, by a college professor. EPIC FILMS is far superior but it too misses many films. In keeping with the times, OF MUSCLES AND MEN seems to be obsessed with presumed gay undertones in Peplum films.
