Three versions is enough, and I think all of them were very good movies.
Well I think the story is used by different generations as a platform for up and coming stars to make their mark. Just look at the cast for THE BOUNTY: Hopkins, Gibson, Daniel Day Lewis, Liam Neeson, etc. Amazing cast of actors who still work today.
