Rebecca (Elizabeth Taylor) tends to a wounded Ivanhoe (Robert Taylor) in IVANHOE
An incredibly well mounted Medieval film, with gorgeous cast, sets and costumes. It's all around great except for some much needed passion. It's a bit on the aloof side.

I agree with you that there's not much passion in this movie, but it really doesn't matter much because of the action aspect. I have a made for TV VHS which I transferred to DVD last year with many great stars in it and it contains a more deliberate approach as the book did, and I enjoy this one much better even though it runs close to 3 hours.
