Nick Cravat and Burt Lancaster are ready for action in THE CRIMSON PIRATE
Amazingly sharp photo. Critics compared Lancaster to Fairbanks' swashbuckling antics with this action packed film. I wouldn't go as far as that as Fairbanks had the timeless Matinee Idol look Lancaster didn't have. They don't make films like this anymore.

That's a really FUN movie.
As a former circus acrobat, Burt could swash-a-buckle with the best of them.
Small, but wiry Nick Cravat was Burt's circus partner & loyal Burt used him in films, whenever he could.
