Goliath (Brad Harris) desperately needs to save his buddy (Jose Rubio) from certain death in GOLIATH & THE GIANTS
This film has it all, including excellent production values, except for one important thing: a script. More of a collection of PEPLUM scenes cobbled together than an actual story. But I like it. In fact I'm playing it tonight on PEPLUM TV.
Love this movie . Have a great widescreen DVD of it. Lots of fun to watch, but I always try to figure out they knew Goliath's ship was going to stop at that certain island so they could put Gloria on it. My guess it was a regular stop for seaman to get water. The dessert scenes don't make any sense and the the Amazons get too little on screen time. Overall I this movie has it all, one of the best of this genre. Do you agree?
ReplyDeleteWell, yeah that's what I wrote. The story of them being on the ship and stopping by the island doesn't make any sense at all. I mean, the first guy was killed and the king knew Goliath was on his way so he does what? He sends a woman(!) to kill him, puts her on an island where Goliath will find her. She must have powers of teleportation to go to the island in that short amount of time. It's a huge plot-hole. But not only that, she then escapes Goliath and reaches the King before Goliath who are walking in some desert. Aside from that and the lack of a real story it's one of the best looking PEPs and I love watching it over and over.
ReplyDeleteAlso it has some unintentionally funny moments too...certainly on the boat and a few other places.
