After they were PEPLUM stars: Alan Steel

Alan Steel in FAST HAND IS STILL MY NAME(1973)...from the looks of this photo, this spaghetti western is not that different than your average PEPLUM.

Since I am also a collector of Spaghetti Westerns they are somewhat similar to PEPS, maybe because a lot of the PEP stars moved on to the westerns. The stories usually vary but the hero always seems to be a castoff such as a Pistolero, Desparado, Lawman turned Bounty Hunter, or even a Con Man out to get even with someone. I have stated on other sites that the bad guys are the meanest ever to be seen on film. I enjoy many of the PEP Stars who made the transition and you know they are quite good playing good or bad guys.

I'm already dedicated to this genre that it would be difficult for me to invest in spaghetti westerns. Too many of them.

You are absolutely right too many of those SW's, somewhere in the neighborhood of 500-575 were filmed in 10-15 yrs. I really pick and choose my films because like the other genres there are a lot of "turkeys" out there and the quality of the DVD is of utmost importance. Stick with your excellent site which I enjoy more than any other one around.
