Paul Wynter and Mark Forest see the odd wheel-of-slaves thingamajig for the first time in MACISTE VS THE MOLE MEN (aka Mole Men vs the Son of Hercules)

I played the Fan Dub version I created last night on PEPLUM TV for the first time. In its original widescreen format the film is great and decidedly over-the-top. One of the best and this strange wheel is one of the oddest devices ever conceived for a film in the entire history of cinema. Truly amazing/weird/nightmarish.

This is my favorite film of all of them. Is the fan dub that you mention possibly available for viewing somewhere. I work at night. I never get to watch your peplum theater.

I still think that had the fight between Bangor and Machiste been real, that Bangor could have prevailed quite handily. He had the broader back of the two. And the wheel just about portrayed the limit of the strength of Machiste, because while he could move it, slowly, it took every ounce of muscle that he had. Hanging a chain off of it and trying to pull down the column would have been beyond him, had not Bangor helped. I guess if Bangor hadn't been there, he would have had to fall back on the "little people's" efforts to make the plan work. I guess that would have been a bit humbling for him to admit to himself.

And yes, I guess that what I see in the film might indicate, a bit, of what I see in myself. That is why I like it so much. So, call me weird like that.

Well Steven last weekend I had a All Day Marathon. I can play it during that time. On Saturday or Sunday. I'm currently looking into a download service. Stay tuned!
