I was searching them interwebs for something totally unrelated to CONAN when I came across these two photos. I love the artwork in the top photo. It's from the cover for CONAN THE LIBERATOR. What's going on in the artwork is fairly standard Sword & Sandal stuff. My only complaint is how old Conan looks. He looks like he's in his 50s. While below is a figurine of Conan who doesn't fare better in the age department. Am I missing something? Was Conan supposed to look like an old man?

Well, that picture has him on a throne, so obviously it's from his later years, after he became king. (I don't know Conan's full "life story", but as far as I can tell, once he became king, he stayed that way for the rest of his life- and he didn't die young).
Yeah, it's true, the Conan stories for those who haven't read them go back and forth between young and older Conan.
Yeah, I know about King Conan but why make him look that old when he's older...lol
