Great poster. Don't know if this story is true or not, but I read where "Sexy Rexy" threatened to go to court because he was not originally featured in the poster artwork.
Can't really blame Rex, either. His performance IS the outstanding performance & he truly deserved his Oscar nomination. The movie dies when Caesar dies. Whatever Taylor & Burton had going on in "real life", most certainly did not transfer to the big screen. lol
Jim's comment of 12/20/11 is correct: Harrison's contract guaranteed his image to be shown in all posters. There's a very interesting article in "Vanity Fair's Hollwood" about the making of Cleopatra that I urge everyone to read, it's a very informative chapter about the making of this movie.
