I would say the 30's because the guy has no real development to speak of, only a totally natural build. This looks like a pretty spartan Y basement, but the person he is holding on his shoulders would probably reveal the decade because he would be the famous one.

hmm, yes.
The question is "what decade?", so it's an indication that it's older than the 50'.
The shoes are certainly a clue. But i don't know what kind of shoes it is.
There might be a reason why his muscle development doesn't show as he's holding something that's stretching his muscles but he's fit for sure.
Good guesses but it's a no to both answers.
His hair makes me think 1970s.
My guess is maybe the 60's. My brain is telling me the 40's. I'm thinking that I've seen this before, can't wait to see the full picture.
