We have to give Anne a break, could anyone honestly do anything with the awful dialogue DeMille's scriptwriters assigned to the female characters of his movies? The major theme of his Bible movies was that women were put on this earth to be a sexual distraction, to prevent Holy men from doing the work of God. The final scene between Nefretiri and Moses in his hut is ridiculous. She walks out angry .. where does she GO? It's night-time, she has no chariot, no torch, she's going to walk by herself and find her way back to the palace from the slave-city? Don't blame the performers, blame DeMille and his scriptwriters.
