PEPLUM Behind the Scenes

A young Ed Fury, on the right, appears at an event for the film FABIOLA. You can see the title on the banner behind the two beefy men. FABIOLA was released in the US in the summer of 1951. Ed wasn't in that film. He was simply hired for some unspecific event (premiere?). Ed was born in 1928, which means he was 23 when the photo was taken. I've never seen Ed so buff. I even wondered if it was him. Less than a decade later, Ed would be one of the major PEPLUM stars during the PEPLUM explosions. Fate. Amazing photo!
