Jany Clair is carried in a Roman litter in 79 AD THE DESTRUCTION OF HERCULANEUM;
what a lush film!

This movie I thought was a little too long for the plot, and I was disappointed in that it used stock footage from LAST DAYS OF POMPEII. Could of been a real GEM if it had better production value.
It's true that it's a tad overlong and it uses footage from LAST DAYS OF POMPEII but in this case it doesn't bother me much because, in its original form, 79 AD is a stand-out. I got a widescreen version of it recently and it's absolutely gorgeous. The practice of using footage from other films is a pretty common thing with PEPLUM films.
