Ed Fury and Maria Luisa Merlo in URSUS IN THE VALLEY OF LIONS (1961) 

This is one of three URSUS movies Ed made in the early 1960s. I like this file but it's not as good as the other two. It's entertaining, of course, but there's on major issue with the movie: it uses a lot of lions and the professional lion tamer is Ed's body double for scenes with Ursus standing next to lions but the problem is the lion tamer is not as fit as Ed and of course, the whole thing is sorta jarring. One second, we see Ed, the next we see the lion tamer from the back. It's unfortunate that this i so obvious because it's a fun movie. Maria also starred in the first URSUS movie but not URSUS IN THE LAND OF FIRE (1963).
