Photos of an upcoming project called GODS OF EGYPT starring Gerard Butler (above) and Elodie Yung (below). Looks like a PEPLUM film with Elodie in a role usually played by Bella Cortez. Gerard's costume looks a bit too Greek/Roman for an Egyptian God. Hmm....

GODS OF EGYPT has already received a fair amount of criticism on the Internet for using an essentially all white cast in an ancient Egyptian setting.
Peplum films that depict pagan gods and godesses are generally a disappointment in my view - just too hokey. Good monsters, however, are always a plus.
Looks like an episode of "Xena!"
